“ Another great visit to the Green Owl. The staff were so friendly and it was very clean. Even though it was very busy you did not have to wait long to be served. They had a live band on and the music was really good. The people there were really friendly. The price of beer was reasonable and had a good range. I did not have any food so that I have not given any stars for this. ”
“ Lovely food and great atmosphere! A brilliant place to go for drinks and live music (on almost every weekend on the evenings and some Sunday afternoons). Food is also amazing from breakfast through to evenings - their mince pies and brandy cream were a lovely treat too! Just an update to say what a brilliant time we had at the Carnival fundraiser too! ”
“ Some nice "small plates" of food 3 for 2 with some nice craft beer made for a pleasant hour in the Owl. A year on and still enjoying a couple of hours here, soaking up the nice busy atmosphere on sunny afternoons! The outside seating area catches the sun for most of the day and when it is nice, the premises have fold back doors to expose the interior. They sell Quality cask ale and wine. Food looks very nice and presented well. Staff are very friendly and work hard. Lots of dogs with their owners, It's busy from morning through to night and well worth a visit! ”
“ I had a cheese and ham toasty in The Green Owl this lunchtime. I rarely eat out in Hornsea due to bad experiences and some rude staff at other establishments. However the staff in the Green Owl are always so friendly welcoming and make you feel like they actually want to serve you. Today i had a toasty and it was the beat I have had in a long time. Good value for money, friendly staff nice and clean and a lovely place to spend an hour or so Well done to them all. ”
“ What a lovely pub to visit with the family. A lovely cosy place with kind and helpful staff who welcomed the whole family, including the dog (who got special treats!) Nothing was too much trouble, the food was delicious. Would not hesitate to return when next in the area. UPDATE: Aug 24. Returned a year later to find the layout has changed. Still a lovely space to visit, bright and airy, dog still welcome. Limited menu but the food was delicious and staff very kind. Lovely to see the chef cleaning down regularly. We look forward to returning again. ”
“ There are lots of cafes in Hornsea but this is definitely the best one that we’ve tried. It’s obviously very popular with locals and visitors as it was pretty busy on what was a quite dull day. The coffee was good and my gluten free chocolate cake was delicious: light, moist and so chocolatey! My husband’s toasted teacake looked so tasty! There’s seating outside but we opted to sit inside near the bar which gave us a great view of the huge cocktail menu. Thank you very much to the lovely staff who looked after my backpack-it was an hour before I realised that it wasn’t on my back I am often a solo traveller and would feel very comfortable to visit the Green Owl again. Highly recommended! ”

“ The most flavoursome breakfast I've had since- I can't remember! Absolutely beautiful. Never fancy a coked breakfast but smelled divine. Gorgeous mushrooms of all things! Gorgeous coffee! They catered to my daughters needs efficiently even when I forgot to order her food and she was sat waiting for mine best milkshake ever she said! She tried something new - French toast - very filling - had half and EVEN tried the salad - she knew it looked that good! I ate the rest - second breakfast- who cates? Gorgeous! Great service and really warm and cosey! Not bad for a impulse brekky while driving by! Very clean toilets and accessible too! Thank you ”
